Thank YOU for Freezin' For A Reason at the 2026 Plunge!

We're Building a Movement To Fight Climate Change
Across Our Region and Beyond.

Should we reflect sunlight away from the Earth? With global temperatures spiking ever higher, CCAN supports careful research into geoengineering, following the lead of the world’s top scientists.

The D.C. Council can stop ballooning utility costs for residents by passing common sense ratepayer protections, stopping Project Pipes for good, and piloting networked geothermal to kickstart our transition of dangerous methane gas.

Marylanders are already paying the price for climate disasters — floods, heat waves, and storm damage are costing families, schools, and local governments millions of dollars. We’re trying to pass a historic first step towards making polluters pay.

CCAN Action Fund released a new statewide poll, conducted by Global Strategy Group, that shows a whopping 92% of likely voters believe state lawmakers are failing to properly manage the rapid growth of data centers in the Commonwealth. They want action!

VA SCC approved the Chesapeake Compressor Station, ignoring the voices of the Black and working-class residents who have spoken out against it. This isn’t #EnvironmentalJustice. Communities deserve clean air, not corporate gas expansion and not another fossil fuel sacrifice zone disguised as progress. 🔗: chesapeakeclimate.org/scc-approves-chesapeake-compressor-station-ignores-community-voices-and-env...#Chesapeake #HamptonRoads #NoCompressorStation #EJ #CleanAir #NoNewFossilFuels #ClimateActionNow #PeopleOverPolluters ...
